Renovation for Quick Sale Mt Roskill, Auckland
My client had a budget of $12,000 to renovate their 1970’s home before putting it on the market. Within the 4 week timeframe, I gathered quotes from electricians, plasterers, painters, carpet suppliers, gardeners/arborist and a property dresser to ensure competitive rates were sought. Project managing the contractors, all bedrooms were repainted, recarpeted and I had new lighting installed in the kitchen. The gardens were tidied, trees were trimmed and a property dresser was engaged to ensure the home was advertised and presented immaculately to ensure a quick and valuable sale was achieved. The owner was extremely happy with the end result and the sale price of the property.
Home Refreshment Northland, Wellington
Tired of their dated 1970’s interior, my client asked for advice on how to modernise the space. I designed and had storage and shelving built in the living room, worked with the Council to have a new fireplace and hearth installed, considering the curtains and furnishings to remain, I selected a fresh colour scheme for the living, dining room and kitchen, selected new modern light fittings for all three rooms, arranged installation and relocation of light switches and had new carpet installed throughout the home. Liaising with the appropriate contractors to gather quotes and project manage the full renovation on my client’s behalf, I ensured the project ran smoothly, ensuring minimal disruption to their home/family life. Once the renovations were complete, I went shopping with my client and selected a suitable lounge suite style and fabric, ensuring this would be work well with the new colour scheme, flooring and other items. Unfortunately due to a sudden move to Auckland, I was unable to assist with the selection of additional furniture, accessories or artwork but my client was very pleased with the renovations saying in an email to me “The house looks amazing”.
Girl's Bedroom Colour Scheme Titirangi, Auckland
My client required design advice for her young daughter’s bedrooms. Whilst choosing a colour scheme for each room, I considered the existing flooring, furnishings, artwork, curtains, favourite toys and the natural light in the room to ensure an overall flow was achieved. Due to the age of the girls, it was also very important to me that the girls wouldn’t tire or grow out of the selected colour schemes quickly. I gave guidance on which areas of the room should be painted (ie, cupboards, doors, skirtings, architraves etc), selected matching darker glitter paint colours for mirror and picture frames and assisted with ideas on which pieces of furniture could be repainted/restored to prevent overspend on budget. The girls and I were extremely happy with the end result.
